The vocal warm-up “straw” is a wonderful therapeutic exercise for the voice. Do this daily to prevent straining and to teach the tongue to relax, allowing a more beautiful and healthy vocal sound without effort. This exercise will help to remove restrictions that may be limiting your best voice. This will also help you find your natural breath support because you will have to engage your diaphragm and core in order to blow without using your throat muscles. I often do this warm-up while driving in to the studio in the mornings – it’s easy to do in the car, great use of the time, and sets me up for a day of healthy speaking & singing!
Please take the time to follow all of the steps that I teach you on this video – you will love the ways this feels as it warms and relaxes your throat.
