The vocal warm-up Eee to Ahh is great especially if your easiest and most natural vowel is the ee vowel. The goal is to allow all of your vowels to be sung in your easiest vowel spot. Most people are best at either “ee” or “ahh.” If “ee” is your best vowel, do this exercise with a relaxed tongue and jaw, trying to go from ee to ahh with the least amount of change in your tongue – and without moving your jaw. Try doing this several times in short spurts throughout the day, in front of a mirror whenever possible. Be patient with yourself! You are letting go of old habits and creating new ones, so give it some time! You can do anything you set your mind to!
